Successful Train the Trainer Workshop in Kolkata and Mumbai

Priank Chhabra and Geetha Nagaraj imparted training on PTE Academic in Kolkata and Mumbai respectively on 19 and 20 December, 2011. These sessions were too interactive. All the trainees were made to perform various item types from the lesson plans and modules. There was Q&A round with a positive feedback from the participating trainees. The trainees were from Chopras, Edwise, Impel, Canam, Princeton Review and many more organizations.

PTE Academic Train the Trainer New Delhi Workshop

There was a one day Train the Trainer Workshop in New Delhi on 25 November 2011. There were 16 trainers who had participated from various organizations who are our PPs as well as non PPs.  The trainers were from Chopras, Study Overseas Global, Jamboree Education, Princeton Review Manya Group, Bijou Language Training Centre, PAC Asia, Alok International, Mnemonic Education, Intra overseas, Federal Global and Inspire Education.

The workshop started with a welcome note from Pawan Adhikari. Later on there was a product presentation by Yogeeta. The training was conducted by our newly recruited trainer, Priank Chhabra. She did an excellent job. The training session was very interactive. She ensured that each and every trainer participates in the quiz round, icebreaker round as well as in other item types. The workshop started at 10 AM and ended at 6 PM. All the item types were covered from the lesson plans. Pawan, Priank and Yogeeta requested trainers to become the brand ambassadors and promote the test in their respective organizations.

PTE Academic Train the Trainer Workshop was held on 15 November 2011 at Hotel Golconda, Hyderabad. Around 20 trainers participated in the workshop. The training programme started with the brief introduction on PTE Academic and later Dr. Geetha Nagaraj took the training session. All the item types were discussed.

PTE Academic was very easy to schedule. Unlike other tests, there were plenty of dates available in my city. Further, the preparation was easy with the availability of good material on their site. Best part is, you are not charged for sending scores to the universities. To me, that is coming of age of an exam. 

The test experience was comfortable. Fairly straight forward and they test only what needs to be tested. No cryptic or puzzling questions !

Oh yeah, I'd definitely recommend the PTE Academic due to the above reasons.. and would strongly suggest that more universities adopt it in place of other tests, which have become archaic and extremely difficult to schedule.

It is my pleasure to write my views about PTE Academic. It is truly a challenging test which develops the self confidence.I was nervous before attempting the test but felt exalted after attemting such an exiciting test.

The online/practice tests helped me a lot to take this test. I can authentically say that one can definitely develop English language skills in all  aspects  (LSRW) with the help of these practice tests. Apart from developing English language skills, abilities like concentration and spontaneity are also enhanced through these tests. Every component of the test is slotted into definite  time periods which improves the ALERTNESS.

Unlike the other qualifying tests, the entire process of PTE Academic from registration to giving out the score report is unique and appreciable.The whole process is completed within a week time which clearly conveys that this test is ' Well Advanced '. This test is not time consuming. These unique features make it the demanding test in the jetracing days.

The MBA Tour-Delhi Conference 2011

Approximately 300 students participated in the event. The event offered an excellent opportunity to Indian students to meet the university representatives of 27 universities and PTE Academic.

Around 100 students visited the stall. Most of them were acquainted about PTE Academic. They were keen to know about the recognition status of the university of their choice. Some of them had already registered for PTE Academic and wanted to know more about the preparation process for the exam.

New PTE Academic score requirements for UKBA Tier 4 student visa applications

The minimum scores required for Tier 4 student visa applications have been changed. Now the new scores are:

• B1 level: Minimum PTE Academic score of 36 across all four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• B2 level: Minimum PTE Academic score of 51 across all four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

The UKBA will accept the revised scores irrespective of when the test was taken, provided that the score report is still valid. PTE Academic scores are valid for two years. For more information, click here.

Increase in the Number of Testing Sessions in South Asia to Help International Student Recruitment

There is an increase in the number of testing sessions this summer for PTE Academic, so that international students can fulfill language requirements for higher education opportunities and student Visas. PTE Academic Accepted by Australian Government for Student Visa Applications

The Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has formally approved PTE Academic as fully satisfying the Government’s requirements for testing the English language proficiency of student visa applicants. The decision means that for the first time in ten years, Australian institutions and their potential students will have a choice of Government-approved English language testing options.
