Pearson is working with EducationUSA advising centers to promote PTE Academic

EducationUSA is supported by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State. Pearson is working closely with EducationUSA advising centers to promote PTE Academic as another option for international students.

Last week, the New York Times published an online piece about international student admissions.  Martin Bennett, EducationUSA Outreach Coordinator, provided an April checklist for juniors in India interested in studying in the US.

Mr. Bennett offered the following advice to juniors: "Now is the time to start preparing for the standardized tests that are required by your top schools. Standardized tests for international students may include the SAT, ACT and tests that evaluate English-language proficiency — the TOEFL, IELTS and the PTE Academic."

PTE Academic is fast, reliable and highly secure. It is accepted by over 2850 programs worldwide, with acceptance from 95% of UK higher education institutions, over 80% in Australia and over half of the Ivy League in the US, including Harvard and Yale. Recent recognition includes Sydney University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Melbourne Institute of Technology.

The test can be scheduled up to 48 hours before a test with results delivered online typically within 5 business days.
